BANK荣幸宣布张怡（Patty Chang）个展“游移湖，2009 - 2017”将于纽约皇后美术馆展出。展览将呈现艺术家迄今为止最为抱负之作——“游移湖（2009 - 2017）”，该项目在宏大的叙事构建中重新定义了艺术家、图像、物件及行为的角色和作用。其中部分选作已于2016上海双年展以及早前艺术家在BANK的个展（点击了解更多）中首次展出。此次于皇后美术馆的展览结合了影像、摄影、雕塑、一份特别出版物和行为表演，“游移湖”项目将首次以其全貌呈现给观众。展览将于9月17日开幕，并持续至2018年2月18日。

BANK is proud to announce the opening of Patty Chang's solo exhibition, The Wandering Lake, 2009 - 2017 at Queens Museum in New York City on 17th September and continuing through 18th Feb, 2018. This exhibition will present Chang's most ambitious work to date, The Wandering Lake, a project that redefines the role of artist, image, object and performance in the construction of narratives. Sections of this work made their debut in BANK earlier this year, as well as in the 2016 Shanghai Biennial. The Wandering Lake, integrating video, photography, sculpture, a special publication, and performance, is being presented for the first time as a complete and expansive project at the Queens Museum.

展览的构造旨在重现故事从地理、历史、神学文化、小说及个人经历等方面的复杂发展。这个长达多年的项目部分受启发于19世纪与20世纪交替期探险家斯文·赫定的著书《游移湖》（1938），该书记录了一个位于中国沙漠地区的水体的迁移；与此同时项目还以编年史的方式记录了艺术家父亲的逝世、艺术家本人的孕辰和其儿子的诞生。

The exhibition has been structured to replicate the complex way in which stories develop through geography, history, cultural mythology, fiction, and personal experience. While Chang’s multi-year project was in part inspired by turn-of-the-century colonial explorer Sven Hedin’s book The Wandering Lake (1938)—which tells the story of a migrating body of water in the Chinese desert—the project also chronicles the loss of Chang’s father as well as her pregnancy and the birth of her son.

张怡，是一个以表演、录像和装置为创作形式的跨学科艺术家。她曾在纽约现代美术馆，纽约新美术馆，加州大学汉莫美术馆，芝加哥当代艺术博物馆，以及瑞典斯德哥尔摩现代美术馆等艺术机构举办个展。她于2009年获得了柏林美国研究院的视觉艺术奖学金， 2014年获得了古根海姆奖学金。张怡在2016年第11届上海双年展中展出了其最新项目“游移湖”， 2017年10月即将在纽约皇后美术馆举办个展。

Patty Chang is an interdisciplinary artist working in performance, video, and installation. She has held solo shows at institutions such as the MOMA in New York; the New Museum in New York; the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles; the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago; and the Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Sweden. In 2009 she was named the Guna S. Mundheim Fellow of Visual Arts at the American Academy in Berlin and she is a 2014 recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship. Chang’s latest project, The Wandering Lake, was recently featured in the 11^th Shanghai Biennial 2016 and will be the focus of a solo show at the Queens Museum in NY in October 2017.
